Albrecht Wild: Changwon National University Museum
08.12.2020
"Prism" is the title of a group show at Changwon National University Museum this December in Korea. Albrecht Wild's artwork "German Pop" is a collage made from coasters printed with a detail of "Frau 7", an artwork by Hermann Albert from 1969. Just as prisms create optical effects, Wild achieves with his cuts refractions that lead to a new visual experience.

Berges at Galerie Brusberg in Berlin
11.08.2020
Galerie Brusberg in Berlin-Charlottenburg presents from August 22nd till November 7th, 2020 the exhibition "Werner Berges (1941-2017): Pop Art from Germany. Prints and unique works from the years 1970 till 2016". Dieter Brusberg, co-founder of the Kölner Kunstmarkt (now Art Cologne), exhibited works by Werner Berges in the early 1970s in his gallery, which was at that time located in Hannover. He was also publisher of several of the artist's silk-screen prints.
Today, Galerie Brusberg is run in the second generation. The exhibition takes place in cooperation with DavisKlemmGallery, which worked with Werner Berges for fifteen years up till his death in 2017 and also published several of his editions. We are very pleased that works by Werner Berges are now being shown by Felix Brusberg in Berlin - the city where Berges' career as an artist started.
Pictured is the painting by Werner Berges titled "Sport ist Mord" from 1970. It was shown at Galerie Brusberg, Hannover, in 1970 in the group exhibition "Fußball" and now returns fifty years later back to the gallery for this exhibition.

Prints by Werner Berges are included in this exhibition. The exhibition runs from June 6th till September 13th, 2020.

Art Virus 20 in Korea: Albrecht Wild
01.06.2020
This year had in store for Albrecht Wild an artist-in-residency on the South Korea island of Jeju as well as a curatorial task for an exhibition. But, like so many plans this year, everything turned out differently. Nevertheless, an exhibition is taking place in Korea - although without artists and original artwork (these have been replaced with printed photos of the works). The corona virus calls for creative action, when people and goods cannot travel. Thus came about the project "Art Virus 20", that is now touring through Korea - from Jeju Island to Daegu and Uijeongbu, north of Seoul.
