American sculptor Peter Anton is best known for his works depicting sweets. However, he is also responsible for a number of delicacies from the realm of the savory. He creates his oversized sculptures in his studio in Conneticut from various materials such as glue, wood and plaster. The hyper-realistic works invite the viewer to discover details: a bitten-off chocolate, a bubble in a fried egg, or dripping chocolate. His works celebrate the joy of eating with bright colors.

Peter Anton is interested in the relationship we have with food, that is, the emotional side of culinary pleasure. In doing so, he plays with the inviting effect of his works, experimenting with both contemplative moments and the childlike fascination of the giant-sized - a little trip to Alice in Wonderland.
Peter Anton's works can be found in museums, in corporate collections, but also in the possession of well-known collectors such as Lord Norman Foster, Keith Richards or Bill Clinton.
