malatsion
Artistic research is a central theme that runs through malations' work. Her works are inspired by scientific methods and reflections. The French artist's installations stage sculptures, drawings, photographs and props in a fictional narrative in a setting that blends realism and fantasy.
Many works question the new visions of life as a technological resource. Other projects are investigating the cause-and-effect relationships in relation to modern-day mining and environmental protection.
Malatsion has been living and working in Frankfurt am Main since 2004. Her works are regularly exhibited throughout Europe as well as internationally. Her work has been recognized and supported by numerous grants, most recently a travel grant from the Goethe Institute, which took her to Norway.

Project #13: malatsion
For the first time, malatsion is exhibiting in our project space in Hochheim. Project #13 raises many questions: What is moving in the aquariums in the project space? Flora or fauna? Or perhaps a combination of both? The gentle movements of the coral-like creatures suggest life.

malatsion: entre deux eaux
The year 2022 was declared the "Year of Water" by the city of Wiesbaden. In an exhibition at DavisKlemmGallery malatsion transforms the gallery into a laboratory: aquariums and vessels filled with liquid inhabit the gallery in which mysterious creatures seem to grow under light. Water - as the source of life and as a life-sustaining element - was the focus of this exhibition, in which art and science seem to enter into a symbiosis.
